What makes Vital Now different.
Five reasons patients choose an independent, physician-owned practice over a franchise or corporate clinic.
Physician-Owned
Every decision is made by a physician who has a personal stake in your outcome — not a corporate board optimizing for throughput.
On-Site Diagnostics
Digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house labs, and IV capability mean most decisions can be made in the room — no referral needed for the basics.
Continuous Care
CCM and RPM programs keep us connected between visits, so problems are caught early and care does not stop when you leave the exam room.
Integrated Mental Health
Mental and physical health are treated as one. Psychiatric medication management and therapy coordination happen in the same building.
Roots in This Community
Dr. Xiong grew up in Catawba County and is building a physician-led practice for Alexander County and the surrounding communities.
Care led by an experienced, board-certified family medicine physician.
Chue Xiong, MD
Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Chue Xiong is a board-certified family medicine physician who grew up in Catawba County and never lost sight of the communities that shaped him. He chose family medicine because it allows him to care for the whole person at every stage of life, from a newborn's first visit to the complex needs of geriatric patients, and to build relationships that last decades rather than a single appointment. His training and experience span outpatient primary care, urgent care, and hospital medicine, so he understands what happens to a patient before, during, and after a hospital stay, and how much of that could have been prevented with timely, accessible care close to home.
That conviction is what brought him back. Rural communities like Alexander County face long drives, long waits, and too few physicians, and families too often put off care until a small problem becomes an emergency. Dr. Xiong is building an integrated, physician-led practice to change that: walk-in primary care, urgent care, and wellness services for patients of all ages, delivered under one roof by a physician who knows the community and intends to stay in it. His goal is simple — that no one in Alexander County should have to choose between convenience and quality when they need a doctor.
